Health Benefits of Tea

We have always been drinking tea, but not daily and not seriously paying attention to the types of teas that we were consuming. It wasn't until the Coronavirus hit that we started to take our health more seriously and also started to pay attention to what we put into our bodies. I have always been interested in traditional remedies, and tea is basically a very ancient traditional remedy, or "health food".

There is a lot of research going on in the area of naturopathic and traditional medicine, and these disciplines are merging with mainstream science and biochemistry. I have recently read an interesting article that shows how tea consumption can attenuate and diminish the negative health effects from the Coronavirus.

The journal article titled "The medicinal value of tea drinking in the management of COVID-19" was published in January 2023 and shows how the various active ingredients and chemicals are present in tea leaves in very high concentrations and therefore they have a medicinal effect when consumed into the body.

I don't know about you, but I think it is absolutely fascinating that we have been drinking tea in society for thousands of years which has the benefit of fighting viruses that have also been present in society for thousands of years. I wonder if tea is one of the pillars of our civilization, but that is a chat to be held over a pot of tea together.
